Bush's "War on Terrorism" bothers me. Not because I'm in favor of terrorism, or anything so unpatriotic, but I question the real motivation behind such actions.
I guess Thomas Walkom (see article on ZNet) said it pretty clearly:
What makes this war so superior, in political terms, is its vagueness. Since the terrorist, by definition, can be anyone... More important, we can never know when we've won.
