| Great Mythology Web Site | ||||||||||||
Thoughts I've thunk while sippin' at a cup of tea and reading something provoking, often get dropped here for the benefit of humanity and my own hubris.

Just ran across a really great web site, The Big Myth. An educational website created the "Dutch Ministry of Education and Culture". It is basically a large animated site that tells the "Creation Story" of a couple dozen cultures from around the world. They obviously strove for accuracy (as much as you can when you deal with mythology), however, the creation story is usually the most boring story from a particular culture's mythos. I mean, the Norse had some great stories … but their creation story wasn't one of them. Same with the Biblical creation story. So I wonder just how many kids would enjoy it? I did, but I'm weird.
