Dancing Fool

Poems given to me while spillin' tea on my keyboard, often get dropped here for the benefit of humanity and my own hubris.

Dancing upon jagged clefts of earth
      White rose between my teeth
      Stretching arms and stretching heart
      A bag of wistful dreams

Oft I gather pretty presents from
      My fickled mistress Muse
      Lonely fangs on lonely heart
      A box devoid of hope

Need I break this golden cage of ribs
      The beating bird to fly
Nesting in the breast of love
To live in joy and cry

The Fool
