Here’s a little experiment that I thought I’d try out (from Nicole who got it from Anne):

  1. Grab the nearest book.
  2. Open the book to page 23.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

So, luckily I put all my boring programming books away for the weekend, otherwise, I might have to post some code. However, after reading a completely incomprehensible statement from “The Zen Poetry of Dogen,” I realized that that book wasn’t actually the closest book. So I tried again, and got a much more entertaining sentence:

Why do you have two eyes?

Now that is a very good question…

My sentence reads:

Add a few shred of sauerkraut that has been well washed & drained.

Perhaps I should put the cooking books away for the weekend as well. Then again, I own no other books. Hmmmm. Now there’s food for thought.
