| Happy Birthday, Grandma | ||||||||||||
Thoughts I've thunk while sippin' at a cup of tea and reading something provoking, often get dropped here for the benefit of humanity and my own hubris.

It’s been a few years since you died, but I still miss you. I miss your stories, your cookies, your chuckling laugh… I often see your spunky personality in my daughter’s impish eyes… and really wish you could have met her. Oh, and I have a boy now too. He’s a big boy and even feels heavier than he looks. He’s extremely ticklish and so much fun to get him laughing. I’ve so much to say that I really don’t know what to say… so maybe I’ll just sit here for a few more minutes and listen to another one of your stories. I just noticed that my sister put a tribute to Grandma up on her site. I should have whipped up a batch of those applesauce-chocolate-chip-cookies. Correction: I should have got my sister to whip up a batch of those cookies. Comment posted on Sunday, 2 May 2004 |
