| An Odd Dream | ||||||||||||
Thoughts I've thunk while sippin' at a cup of tea and reading something provoking, often get dropped here for the benefit of humanity and my own hubris.

Had a strange dream last night that for some reason, I’m willing to share here. In this dream, me and my family and a friend of mine and his family (who often hang out together), were … well, up in the clouds. We weren’t exactly flying— more like floating, and hanging out together. I was aware of others in the same area and in the same condition. The clouds, while everywhere, were more like surrounding us. There were clouds above and clouds below. And they weren’t white as the area wasn’t bright, but quite gray. The clouds below were spongy, but firm enough that I couldn’t put my foot through it. “Looks like these are rain clouds ready to dump at any minute,” I said. The others nodded. “You know,” I continued, “this is pretty much what I figured hell would be like.” The others looked a bit shocked and a bit amused by my statement, but verbally disagreed, but also asked what I meant. “Well, look around. There is nothing around here, and nothing to do but hang out,” I replied. My friend said, “But at least there isn’t the pain associated with hell.” I answered, “Boredom has its own pain.” Thought originally posted on Wednesday, 8 June 2005
